Worth knowing

RAKEZ was formed in 2017 by combining RAK Free Trade Zone and RAK Investment Authority zones, and it also issues non-free-zone licences. Its freelance permit starts from AED 6,100; the AED 6,000 starter package is aimed at people already based in the UAE.

Before you choose RAKEZ

Check three things with the zone directly: whether your exact business activity is on its list, how many visas your office option allows, and the full year-one cost including the establishment card and visa fees. Our year-one cost guide shows what to add up.
